The participants expanded their knowledge in the areas of: politics (democracy, the rule of law and corruption), the economy (the competitiveness of the region, the problems and risks of entry to the common market), social problems (unemployment, migration, social issues).

Victory on the competition of RW in Laws

Took place a final stage of all-Ukrainian competition of student research works in Laws in 2014/2015 a.y., which was held at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

The second round was attended by 213 stiudent works of 59 country`s HEE. By the results of exterior review 122 works were recommended for protection. The SSU Faculty of Law was represented by 12 students, according to the results of competition prize places was won by 4 students.

Second place Nadiya Andriychenko (scientific supervisor Cand.Sc. O.V. Ilchenko) and Semenova Anastasiya (scientific supervisor Cand.Sc. O.I.Kusel`ova);

Third place Yevgeniya Ignatenko (scientific supervisor Cand.Sc. V.V. Pahomov) and Anna Digtyar (scientific supervisor Cand.Sc. M.I. Logvinenko).

Practically according to the number of prize places faculty got down the third place in Ukraine after Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University and National University «Odessa Law Academy».

The Elsa moot court competition on tax law

31 October – 1 November 2015 the Kyiv regional center of students League lawyers Association of Ukraine was held the SECOND all-Ukrainian trial debates on tax law at National University of state tax service of Ukraine (Kyiv region, Irpin).

Participation in this event was attended by students of Kyiv national University. Taras Shevchenko National University of State tax service of Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk national University. Oles Gonchar, Chernivtsi national University. Of Handicrafts, Zaporizhzhya national University, Poltava branch of the national law Academy of Ukraine named after. Yaroslav the Wise, Sumy state University.

Sumy state University was represented by students of the faculty of law Kislova Marina (4th year) and the wife, Hope (5th year).

According to the results of debate team of law students of SSU took first place, beating in the final the students of the law faculty of Kyiv national University. T. G. Shevchenko. These students prepared a head of scientific students Assotiation of the law faculty of SSU, K. Yu.N. Reznik Oleg Nikolaevich.

The competition of scientific research works of Intellectual property

In Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was the final stage of All-Ukrainian competition of research works of students in the field of Intellectual property, which was attended by 61 participants from 31 universities of Ukraine.

Serhii Klochko (supervisor- the Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Doctor of Juridical Science, Professor A. M. Kulish) with work on the theme: “Accountability for plagiarism” worthily presented the Faculty of Law of Sumy State University. The student took in a result of participation in the contest second place.

We congratulate Sergiy with the victory and wish new achievements in the scientific field.

Presentation of state award to Kulish Anatoly Mykolayiovych

On May 15, the head of the Sumy State Regional Administration, Mykola Klochko gave state award “Honored Lawyer of Ukraine” to Doctor of Juridical Science, Professor, Dean the Faculty of Law Anatolii Kulish at the regional festival on the occasion of Science Day. This is an honorary title awarded according to the President’s decree of Ukraine № 27/2015 “On awarding by state awards of Ukraine on occasion of National Unity’s Day of Ukraine for considerable personal contribution to state-building, socio-economic, scientific-technical, cultural and educational development of the Ukrainian state, long-term honest work and high professionalism”.

 

The staff of the Faculty of Law sincerely congratulates Anatoly Mykolaiovych with the high award and wished health, happiness and new scientific achievements
