STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT

The contest of scientific research works on Intellectual property.

The final stage of all-Ukrainian competition of students research works in the field of Intellectual property was held in Kyiv National University after name of Taras Shevchenko, and there were 61 participants from 31universities of Ukraine.
SSU Faculty of Law was worthily presented by Sergiy Klochko (supervisor –  the honored lawyer of Ukraine, doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Kulish A.M.) with the pa         per on the theme: “Accountability for plagiarism”. The student according to the participation results took the second place.
We congratulate Sergiy with the victory and wish new achievements in the scientific field.

SSU first year student– Champion of Ukraine on judo

The student of Sumy State University Bohdan Yadov has won the gold medal in the championship of Ukraine on judo. He was ahead of 24 other participants in the weight category up to 66 kg.
The competition was held on the 19-21st of November in Lutsk. In general on a tatami went out over 270 athletes from 23 regions.

Congratulations to scholars

In 2014-2015 academic year, Yu-24 group student Maryna Kysloshchaeva will receive the scholarship of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The corresponding order of the Ministry of Education and science of Ukraine from November 10, 2014 №1286 is available on the official website of the Ministry. In general, the scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada will receive only five representatives of Sumy Region.

Olena Gyrkina, the 5th year student of the Faculty of Law receives The Regional State Administration head scholarship during the school year. In general the Regional State Administration head scholars became 40 students from 27 higher state educational establishments of I-ІV accreditation level.

The scholarships are awarded annually to students who have shown outstanding achievements in studying and scientific work. It’s a great pleasure that Maryna and Olena also, is engaged in social work and in the Student government.

We congratulate the scholars and wish new scientific achievements!

The week of right

Every October for the Jurist Day it is passed a week of right in which Faculty of Law actively participates. This year was not an exclusion. Students, members of Law clinic, and faculty lecturers carried out meetings, trainings and lecture-conversations according to the law thematics at city schools and Sumy college of food industry. Once again students visited court hearing at Kovpakivskiy District Court in Sumy. Also traditionally became the game of  Legal Brain – ring for school`s and high school`s pupils which was passed at literature siting room of SSU Library. Despite the foul weather outside game was passed in warm and emotional atmosphere. Before the game pupils watched the film about Faculty of Law. During stiff fight 1 place was won by the team «Champions» from GES №21, 2 place was won by the team «Erudite» from GES №9, 3 place – «Vivat lex» GES №10. Winners got charters and cakes, and all other participants got sweet presents and load of positive impressions.

Stanford University certificates

Associate professor of Faculty of Law Cand.Sc.Al`ona Klochko and faculty postgraduate student Kateryna Oliynyk (Logvinenko) successfully finished online-training course at Stanford University (USA) in writing scientific articles «Sci Write Writing in the Sciences» and got sertificates. A.M. Klochko got certificate with honours.

Among 30 000 hearers all over the world who were registered on the courses, it was successfully completed only by 3400 persons.

During 8 weeks faculty officials attended a course of online lectures, loaded and worked up presentation on the course thematics, acquainted themselves with international standarts in writing scientific articles, reviewed typical mistakes.

An obligatory reason to get a certificate was accomplishment of weekly check-up tests, wtiring of two essays and passing the final test.
