Students participate in the academic mobility program at University Of Liverpool

International Law students Yaroslav BERGILEVYCH and Kristina KARNAUSHENKO are studying at the University of Liverpool, Great Britain, as part of a joint academic mobility program.

The students got this opportunity thanks to the cooperation between Ukrainian and British higher education institutions, which became sister universities within the international project “Unity Initiative.”

Kristina Karnaushenko shared her impressions about training.

The University of Liverpool is the city’s largest higher education institution. In it

22,000+ students from different parts of the world are studying.

The campus area is large, but everything is within easy walking distance, which allows you to get to any place and building without obstacles. Navigating the facilities where your lectures and seminars will take place is easy, thanks to the UoL Maps application.

The university consists of a large number of buildings that are fully equipped with technologies for comfortable learning. Two libraries are on campus (Harold Cohen Library and Sydney Jones Library). Both are open 24 hours a day and are equipped with various rooms, computers, easy access to books, where a librarian is not needed, and a large amount of educational and fiction literature.

The Global Opportunities Team handles international students. Upon arrival, their team will provide you with a Welcome Week Schedule listing all planned activities and events. From campus halls’ pizza night, campus welcome carnival and fair, and various tours and excursions, there is also a Culture Calendar, where more large-scale activities are planned, such as LIVERPOOL MUSIC & FILM TOUR, ANGLESEY & SNOWDONIA, WALES, LAKE DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK, CITY OF CHESTER TOUR, etc. At the Liverpool Guild’s Welcome Fair, you have the opportunity to join any societies that interest you, whether it’s a professional direction or just your interests (International Law Society, UoL Bar Society, UoL Politics Society, Gaming Society, Karaoke Society, etc.). In general, a student’s everyday life at the University of Liverpool consists of exciting and varied studies, as well as constant socialization and discovery of something new.

Liverpool is a beautiful city, with an incredible university and friendly people.
