Credit-unit System
In Sumy State University evaluation of student`s knowledge is going by the credit-unit system(CUS). Studying time-table foresees the distribution of academic year on two terms, each of them divided on three module cycles. At the end of every term you hold an examination period. Academic year consists of 60 credits, and the term – of about 30 credits of student`s educational work. Over the one week student accomplishes about 1,5 credits of educational work. Credit is a conditional minimal unit measure of the student`s educational work volume about the learning of a particular component of the curriculum or particular discipline, understanding by the student during the studying, which determines the sum of classwork and independent work of student and forms 36 academic hours. Grading scale of disciplines (R) determines in proportion to the general volume of training activity on discipline: R=40*K, К-general volume of training activity in credits.
