Anastasiya HLUSCHENKO, a 2nd-year graduate student, took part in the “Citizen’s Academy” held by the International Republican Institute in Ukraine with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
During the training, relevant topics were covered: the work of local authorities and the role of local self-government bodies, cooperation of activists with local authorities, involvement of citizens in the reconstruction of communities, and working with citizens whose housing is damaged or destroyed.
Particular attention was paid to practical restoration cases of Ukrainian cities and villages.
Experienced trainers, motivated participants, and relevant topics made the event informative, meaningful, and practically oriented.
