“Being a woman” is a board game, the purpose of which is to work through the game mechanics on stereotypes about women in society. The Charitable Organization “Stabilization Support Services” developed this game with the financial support of the International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Women’s Fund”.
On November 25, 2022, a presentation of the game “Being a Woman” was held for students of the Institute of Law. The event, organized by the Legal Clinic of Sumy State University in cooperation with the UNHCR and dedicated to the All-Ukrainian campaign “16 days of activism against violence”, involved:
- Working out a case study on combating gender-based violence.
- Discussing gender stereotypes that exist in our society.
- Getting to know the game itself.
Head of the Legal Clinic, Lyudmila Rudenko, talked about the rules of the game and the impact of stereotypes on the lives and careers of women and men. Several sets of the game were given to the Institute of Law student self-government.
