Ukrainian scholars discuss global legal challenges at International Week at the University of Cadiz

The head of the department, Oleksandr Ilchenko, and senior lecturer of the department, Natalia Glushchenko, actively participated in the “International and European Studies Week – Spring 2024,” held at the University of Cadiz, Spain. This event, part of the Erasmus+ KA171 program, gathered scholars from around the world to discuss contemporary challenges in international and European law. The primary goal was to facilitate scientific exchange and deepen cooperation among researchers from different countries. During the week, Ilchenko and Glushchenko presented papers that addressed issues related to combating corruption in Ukraine and other countries. Additionally, they raised questions about patenting living organisms with modified genes, which sparked lively discussions among participants. The exchange of experiences and perspectives helped broaden understanding of these complex issues and identify new directions in legal research. This event highlighted the importance of international cooperation in the scientific community, especially in the context of global legal challenges.
