Career guidance event for 10th grade students of the Sumy school

On 7 March 2024, the Academic and Research Institute of Law at Sumy State University (SumDU) led by the head of the legal clinic, lecturer Lyudmila Rudenko, organised a significant career guidance event. This event was tailored for tenth-grade students of Sumy Specialised School of I-III levels №9, emphasising the importance of financial literacy and consumer rights protection in financial services. Participants were introduced to the history of money at the Money History Museum of SumDU and underwent training on managing financial risks and protecting against financial phishing. These activities are designed to enhance young people’s awareness of financial safety and responsibility. The event culminated in a financial literacy quiz, where active participants had the opportunity to showcase their knowledge. Winners were granted a unique chance to visit the legal clinic at SumDU, engage in student self-governance, and participate in a collaborative situational game on financial literacy. This initiative reflects the institute’s efforts to strengthen the connection between theoretical learning and practical application of knowledge, fostering the development of responsible and educated citizens.
