Valery Vlasenko, Associate Professor of the Department of History of the Academic and Research Institute Law of Sumy State University, received the Honorary Diploma of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine as one of the main authors of the book “Serhiy Tymoshenko. Return”. The book was published in 2022, during the war, under the auspices of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. The work is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of our compatriot from Konotopshchyna, engineer, architect, Minister of Roads of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, rector of the Ukrainian Economic Academy in Podyebrady (Czechoslovakia), ambassador (since 1935), senator (1938) of the Polish Parliament from Volyn, Serhii Prokopovich Tymoshenko.
Valery Vlasenko is the author of the first chapter of the book, a chronological and bibliographic index of works on Serhiy Tymoshenko.
Recently, the book was included in the list of the best books in the category “Artistic publications” according to the version of the Ukrainian PEN Center – a cultural and human rights public organization that unites Ukrainian journalists, writers, scientists, publishers, translators, and human rights defenders.
