_Vlasenko-min

Valeriy M.Vlasenko – Head of Department, Candidate of Historical Sciences (1998), associate professor (2002).

He graduated from the history department of Kharkov State University (now V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University). Since 1991 he is a research technician, head of educational-methodical office, assistant, senior lecturer, assistant professor of Ukrainian Studies. In 2003-2008 he was Head of the Department of History in the SSU. In 2009-2012 he studied at doctoral in the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Research interests are Ukrainian emigration in interwar Europe, cooperation history, regional history.

Author of 250 scientific and educational works published in foreign periodicals (Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Czech Republic, United States) and domestic periodicals, 600 articles in encyclopedic and reference publications and press. Author, co-author, compiler of the book “Once I’ll return… Oleksandr Oles and Bilopilschyna”, “Vasil Fylonovych. March days in Carpathian Ukraine “,” Letters of Kostya Matsievich to Simon Petlyura (1920-1923 gg.) “,” Borodayevskyy Sergei Vasilyovych: Brief Bibliographic Index “and others.

Member of the editorial board of encyclopedic directory “Sumy region and its names”, “Book of Holodomor victims of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. Sumy region “,” Body of historical and cultural monuments of Ukraine: Sumy region “, the professional journal”Old Sumy”, scientific editor of the book “Prosecutors Sumy: History and Modernity “. The chairman of the jury on Ukrainian pupils academic competition in history (regional round) (2005 -2008), deputy head of the regional local history quiz “Sumy region” (2008). Co-organizer of the exhibition “Ukrainian Shevchenko days of emigration: posters, invitations, announcements, programs” in Sumy Regional Press Club (2010) and “With Shevchenko in the heart …” in historical and memorial museum of Mykhailo Hrushevsky in Kyiv (2013). He held a national lesson about Holodomor victims of 1932-1933 together with President of Ukraine. (Kharkov, November 19, 2008).

Recipient of prize, 2nd prize in the field of Ukrainian Sciences of Volyanykiv-Shvabinskyh Foundation at the Ukrainian Free University in New York (2006), XII Kiev International Documentary Film Festival “Film chronicle – 2013″, the winner of the national contest of research works “Holodomor 1932-1933. Ukraine Remembers “(2007) and” The Holodomor of 1932-1933. Ukraine. The memory of the people “(2008). He awarded  by diplomas of President of Ukraine , diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, diplomas of Head of Sumy Regional State Administration.

Research advisor for 5 students-winners and  prizetakers of national competitions of scientific and research works in the fields, “Historical Science” and “History and theory of culture.”

Vadim  A.Nesterenko – Candidate of Historical Sciences (2006), associate professor (2008), assistant professor.

He was born in Sumy City. In 1996 he graduated an honours degree from the history department of Sumy State Pedagogical Makarenko Institute, completed postgraduate studies in the Institute of History of Ukraine. In 2005 he passed Ph.D. defense. He worked in a secondary school, Sumy State Pedagogical University. Since 2004 he is lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor of the history department of SSU. Since February 2009 he is Acting head of department.

Author of 30 scientific and educational works. Research interests are history and historiography of Ukraine during the Second World War.

He was a juryman of the regional round of Ukrainian  academic competition in the history for pupils (2005-2009), Ukrainian tournament for young historians (Sumy, 2006).

Academic Advisor for student (Olena Vusyk), who took premier place at Ukrainian contest of students’ scientific works in the theory and history of culture (2006). Also he was Academic Advisor for student of Faculty of Law (L.Lozovetska), who took the third place in the National competition of student research in theme “History of Ukraine” (Ostrog, 2012).

Editor-in-chief of historical journal “Ancient Sumy Land”.

_Lobko-min

Natalia V.Lobko – Candidate of Historical Sciences (2008), associate professor (2013), assistant professor.

She was born in Khmelnytskiy region, graduated from the history department of the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after AS Makarenko in 1991. In 2007 she graduated from the the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In September 2008 she defended her thesis “information potential of Ukrainian genealogical sources and its usage in historical research.”

She worked as a teacher in secondary school №27 (Sumy), a leading specialist in the public relations and use of documents division of the State Archives of Sumy region, since 2008 – she is a     teaching assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor of the Department of history of SSU.

The author of 30 scientific works in the history of Ukraine, historiography, genealogy domestic journals (“Historical Journal”, “Bulletin of the KNU named after T. G.Shevchenko”, “Genealogical Notes”, “Old Sumy”), scientific collections and in the local press . Research interests: genealogy, source.

N.V.Lobko is a member of Ukrainian Heraldry Society.

Supervisor for student (Inna Bytyuk), who won the first place in Ukrainian competition of student research papers on the 300th anniversary of the events, related to the military and political campaign of Ivan Mazepa and the Ukrainian-Swedish Alliance (2009).

She is an author of computer presentation of the facsimile edition of the Gospel Peresopnytsia (1556-1561), (February 2008);  an Organizer of “historic hour” dedicated to the Holodomor in 1932-1933., the 90th anniversary of the first Ukrainian government and activity of famous Ukrainian genealogists.

In collaboration with A.V.Vasylyevym and V.M.Vlasenko N.V.Lobko created the film “Peresopnytsia Gospel – an outstanding remembrance of Ukrainian revival XVI century.”, which won in the category “Spiritual films” at the XII Kyiv International festival of documentary films “KINOLITOPYS 2013″

_Telіzhenko

Lyudmyla V.Telizhenko  – Doctor of Philosophy (2012), associate professor (2006), assistant professor.

She graduated Sumy State Pedagogical Institute named after AS Makarenko in 1984. The total teaching experience is 30 years. Experience of teaching in higher educational institutions of III-IV accreditation level (SSU) is 16.

In 2004 she defended candidate thesis in Philosophy “Mystical experience as an anthropological mode”. In 2006 she obtained the rank of associate professor.

In August 2010, she graduated doctoral in Humanitarian Education Center of NAS of Ukraine with a specialization in  “Philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture.”

Under her supervision students Anna Zinchenko, Olena Vusyk, Oleksandr Ratushniy have won the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in cultural studies in different time.

Research interests – Postnonclassical rationality, integrity of the person, the subject-object unity, Christian anthropology, mystical practices, hesychasm.

She published two monographs and about 40 scientific and educational publications.

Since 2007 she is a permanent member of Laboratory of Postnonclassical methodologies of CGO NAS of Ukraine.

Member of the jury of II stage of Ukrainian Student Olympiad in culturology (Kyiv, 2006 .; Vinnytsya, 2007).

_Degtiarov-min-min (1)

Sergey I. Degtyarev – Doctor of Historical Sciences (2015), associate professor (2013), assistant professor.

In 2000 he graduated from Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S.Makarenka with a degree in “History and Jurisprudence”. From 2005 to 2008 he had on-the-job training during postgraduate study with a degree in 07.00.06 “Historiography, source study and special historical disciplines”.

He works at SSU from 2003. In 2003-2006 – Junior Researcher, and in 2006-2009. – Senior Researcher of Regional Research Laboratory-Center of  historic study; in the 2009-2010 – Senior lecturer in the Department of History; from 2011 -he took the post of assistant professor of the history in SSU. In 2013 he received the academic rank of associate professor.

Degtyarev S. is the author of 100 scientific, methodical and popular scientific works.

Three student scientific work performed under the supervision of S.I.Dehtyarov became winners in Ukrainian student research competition: third place in the National competition of student research papers on the 300th anniversary of the events related to the military and political campaign of Ivan Mazepa and the Ukrainian-Swedish Alliance (Sumy, April 2009); Second place in tthe National competition of student research papers on natural, technical and humanities in “History” (Kherson, April 2010); Third place in the National competition of students’ scientific works on natural, technical and liberal sciences in the field “History” (Kherson, March 2011).

Sergey Degtyarev is an editor-in-chief and a member of editorial board of professional “Sumy historical and archival journal” and a member of the editorial board of “Ancient Sumy Land”. In 2003 and 2004 he was the author and an editor of the 1st and 2nd editions of encyclopedic reference book “Sumy in the names” (Recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).
